Frequently asked questions regarding insurance and billing.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes, Midnight Sun Myofunctional Therapy accepts insurance and will submit claims on your behalf. 

Are you in-network with any insurance companies?
I am currently not in-network with any insurance companies.

How do I know if my insurance will pay for Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy?
Call us with your insurance plan and we can help walk you through the steps.

Do you work with HSAs or FSAs (Health Savings / Flexible Spending Accounts)?
Yes, Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy is a covered expense on most HSA’s and FSAs.  

What insurance companies do not cover Orofacial Myofunctional Thearpy? 
Medicaid, Medicare, and TRICARE do not cover Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy fees. Consequently, we do not bill these providers. We offer a reduced cash pay fee for patients with these insurance plans.

Do you file claims for Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance?
Yes, we do. However, please note that we collect payment upfront for all services. This is because Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield reimburses the patient directly for services rendered rather than the provider.

Billing and Payment

What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, check and credit cards.

Do you require payment up front or at the time of service?
Yes, payment is due at the time of service when insurance is not being billed. When insurance is billed, any fees not covered by your insurance plan are due upon the claim being processed.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves an open appointment in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require a 24-hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than a 24-hour notice, or do not show for their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file after the second occurrence.
